Tourist visa β€” document checklist
  • Schengen visa application form completed online in Lithuania's MIGRIS system (migracija.lt), then printed, signed and submitted at the VFS centre
  • Passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages and validity at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area, plus photocopies
  • One recent passport-size colour photograph meeting Schengen specifications
  • Travel medical insurance covering the entire Schengen area for the full stay, with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 for medical emergencies, hospitalisation and repatriation
  • Cover letter stating the purpose and duration of travel, names of any accompanying persons, and your transport and accommodation details
  • Flight tickets covering entry to and exit from the Schengen area
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole stay β€” hotel or holiday-home bookings; if staying with a host, proof of sponsorship and private accommodation from the host
  • For an organised trip: a travel agency certificate confirming the booking; otherwise documents indicating your travel plans and itinerary
  • Original private bank statements showing transactions for the last three months, evidencing means of subsistence (Lithuania sets EUR 40 per day)
  • Indian income-tax return acknowledgements for the last two assessment years, commonly requested to evidence financial standing
  • Proof of ties to India and intent to return, as applicable β€” for example an employment letter with approved leave, business registration, or proof of studies

Business visa β€” document checklist
  • Completed Schengen (Type C) visa application form, filled online via the Migration Department's MIGRIS portal (migracija.lt) and signed.
  • Passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages and validity of at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area, plus copies of any previous visas.
  • Two recent biometric photographs to Schengen specifications; fingerprints captured in person at the VFS Global centre.
  • Invitation letter from the inviting company or organisation in Lithuania and a cover letter from your employer. Both must confirm your identity, the purpose of the trip (meetings, conferences, training or business events), and the period and place of your intended stay.
  • Company registration certificate for your India-registered company, a business bank account statement, and income tax return acknowledgement (ITR-V) for the last two years.
  • Travel medical insurance valid across the Schengen area with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
  • Flight tickets and accommodation (hotel) details covering the dates of the visit.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the stay, such as recent personal bank statements and salary slips where applicable.
