Ireland visa fees & timelines
| Visa type | Government fees | Our fee | Processing | Validity | Entries | Max stay |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tourist visa | Short stay 'C' visit/tourist visa โ single journey โฌ60Standard Irish government visa application (administration) fee, single entry. Non-refundable if refused or withdrawn. Short stay 'C' visit/tourist visa โ multiple journey (alternative) โฌ100Charged only if a multiple-entry visa is issued; usually granted only to applicants with a compliant prior Irish visa history. Most first-time tourists pay the single-journey โฌ60. | โน7,500 + 18% GST = โน8,850 | Typically several weeks from receipt at the Embassy; longer in peak season | Usually up to 90 days from issue | โ | Up to 90 days |
| Business visa | Entry visa fee (short-stay 'C' business visa, single journey) โฌ60Standard Irish entry-visa processing/administration fee set by Immigration Service Delivery. A single-journey visa (โฌ60) is the typical base case for a business visitor; a multiple-journey (multi-entry) visa is โฌ100 if repeat entries are needed. Non-refundable if refused or withdrawn, and not refunded if you apply/pay for multi-entry but are granted single-entry. Visa handling fee โฌ15Mandatory handling fee charged on ALL Irish visa applications, in addition to the entry-visa fee. Payable even by applicants who are exempt from the visa processing fee itself. Non-refundable. So a single-entry business visa costs โฌ60 + โฌ15 = โฌ75 in government charges (โฌ100 + โฌ15 = โฌ115 for multi-entry). | โน7,500 + 18% GST = โน8,850 | About 8 weeks from receipt at the Embassy | โ | โ | Up to 90 days |
| Student visa | Study (long-stay 'D') visa application fee โ single journey โฌ60Standard mandatory government fee for a single-entry long-stay 'D' study visa (valid for one entry, up to 90 days from issue). A multiple-journey visa (valid up to 5 years) costs EUR 100 instead โ most Indian students take the single-journey option. Fee set in EUR regardless of where you apply; same for all nationalities including Indian nationals. | โน25,000 + 18% GST = โน29,500 | ~40 working days (Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi, first-instance study decision) | Single-journey 'D' entry visa; residence then set by the IRP (Stamp 2) | โ | Duration of your course; register the IRP within 90 days of arrival |
| Dependent visa | Long stay 'D' Join Family (Dependent) visa - single journey application fee โฌ60Standard government application fee for a visa-required national (including Indian nationals). Multiple-journey option is EUR 100. Non-refundable even if the application is refused or withdrawn. | โน25,000 + 18% GST = โน29,500 | No fixed statutory timeline. Immigration policy sets a target of around six months, but join-family applications commonly take up to twelve months from the date complete documentation is submitted, and complex cases longer. | Linked to the sponsor's permission โ the residence permit is typically issued in line with the sponsor's permission and renewed alongside it (an initial 12-month permission is common for spouses/partners of Irish citizens). | Multiple | Long stay (more than 90 days), renewable as long as the relationship and the sponsor's status continue. |
Government and VFS fees are paid directly to the authorities in the local currency shown and are subject to change at the discretion of the concerned consulate or embassy; our service fee is in INR and includes appointment booking. No consultant can guarantee a visa โ the decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
