Document checklists
Tourist visa β document checklist
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form (filled online on the GVCW portal)
- Original passport issued within the last 10 years, valid at least three months beyond return, with two blank pages, plus photocopies of the data page and previous visas
- Two recent passport photographs to Schengen specification (35 x 45 mm, light background)
- Travel medical insurance covering the entire Schengen area with a minimum of EUR 30,000 cover, including repatriation
- Flight tickets and hotel bookings for the full stay (or an invitation letter with a copy of the host's Greek ID or residence permit)
- Cover letter stating the purpose of travel and day-wise itinerary
- Proof of financial means β personal bank statements for the last three to six months (bank stamp on each page) and income tax returns (ITR-V) for the last two years
- Proof of occupation β employer's leave letter and recent salary slips, or company registration and GST returns for the self-employed
Business visa β document checklist
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
- Passport issued within the last 10 years, valid at least three months beyond your Schengen departure, with two or more blank pages, plus copies of any previous visas.
- Two recent Schengen-spec passport photographs (35x45 mm, light background).
- Invitation letter from the Greek company or host on letterhead, signed by an authorised person, stating the purpose and dates of the visit and who bears the costs.
- Covering letter from your Indian employer confirming your position, salary, sanctioned leave and the purpose and duration of travel (or business registration and GST returns if you are self-employed).
- Proof of the business relationship between the Indian and Greek companies (contracts, prior correspondence, purchase orders), and trade-fair or conference admission cards where applicable.
- Travel medical insurance covering the whole Schengen stay with a minimum of EUR 30,000 for medical costs and repatriation.
- Flight tickets and accommodation bookings for the full stay, with a day-by-day itinerary.
- Personal bank statements for the last three to six months, latest salary slips and Income Tax Returns (ITR) as proof of funds.
- Indian company registration or incorporation documents where required.
