Which route you take depends less on why you are going and more on what other visas already sit in your passport. If you hold a valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen country, the USA, the UK or Ireland, you can apply online for the Türkiye e-Visa for either tourism or business. It is single entry, lets you stay up to 30 days, and stays valid for 180 days from the date of issue.
No qualifying visa or permit? Then the e-Visa is closed to you, and you apply for a Business sticker visa at the Turkish Consulate through VFS Global, which runs application centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and other cities. You hand in the passport and get it back with the visa affixed; whether it is single or multiple entry is the consulate's call. Employment and study fall outside the e-Visa entirely and always need a consulate sticker visa.

Business sticker visa — single entry
Lodged at the Turkish Consulate through VFS Global for applicants without a qualifying Schengen/US/UK/Ireland visa. Passport is submitted and returned with the visa affixed; entry terms and stay are set by the consulate.
Business sticker visa — multiple entry
Granted at the consulate's discretion, usually for applicants with a genuine recurring business relationship in Türkiye; allows several entries within the visa validity, with the stay limited per visit.
