Brazil business visa
Brazil files its business travellers under VIVIS, the visit category that replaced the old VITEM II code. For an Indian passport holder it opens the door to meetings, fairs and business events, prospecting for commercial opportunities, signing contracts, audits or consultancy, and technical assistance or technology transfer under a formal agreement. One line it will not cross: paid employment or salaried work for a Brazilian company.
Two roads lead to it. The consular route runs through Brazil's e-consular system and needs an in-person appointment, either at the Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulate-General in Mumbai. Eligible Indian applicants can skip the counter entirely and apply online through the official Business e-Visa portal. Demand is heavy right now, and consular processing is running up to 10-15 business days.

- βHold a confirmed return/onward itinerary, accommodation, and an invitation from the Brazilian company or event organiser.

Your exact checklist depends on your profile β we confirm it during your case analysis. Every visa decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
Applications go through Brazil's e-consular system and require an in-person appointment at the Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulate-General in Mumbai. A current surge in demand is squeezing appointment availability and processing times, so apply well in advance. Eligible applicants may instead use the official online Business e-Visa. Consular fees are set by the Embassy and payable at application.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
No. The decision rests solely with the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate-General (or the e-Visa authority). What we do is give you a frank, honest assessment of your profile and build the strongest possible application. Over the last 2-3 years our applications have a 97% success rate, but no consultant can promise an outcome.
Can I work in Brazil on this business visa?
No. VIVIS covers business activity such as meetings, negotiations, audits, consultancy and technical assistance, but it does not authorise paid employment or salaried work for a Brazilian company.
How long can I stay, and how long is the visa valid?
Each visit caps at 90 days, extendable by up to a further 90 days, but never beyond 180 days in any 12-month period. The visa itself is multiple-entry and can carry a validity of up to 10 years.
Should I apply for the e-Visa or the consular visa?
If you're an eligible Indian national who can sign documents electronically, the whole thing can be done online through the official Business e-Visa portal. If not, you apply through the e-consular system with an in-person appointment at the Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulate-General in Mumbai. We assess which route fits your case and prepare the documents accordingly.
