Slovakia business visa
For a business trip to Slovakia of up to 90 days, you travel on the Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) - a uniform visa that, for applicants in India, is issued by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi. One visa, the whole Schengen area, up to 90 days in any 180-day window. Slovakia is the right mission to apply to when it is your main destination - the country where you spend the most time - or, when no single country dominates the trip, when it is your first point of entry into Schengen.
In India, you lodge the file at a VFS Global visa application centre. VFS runs the intake, biometrics and document check; the decision itself stays with the Embassy in New Delhi. Reckon on about 15 days once your file reaches the Embassy, stretching up to 45 when extra checks are called for. Anything longer than 90 days is a different route altogether - that needs the national (Type D) long-stay visa, not this short-stay one.

Your exact checklist depends on your profile β we confirm it during your case analysis. Every visa decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
Applications are lodged at VFS Global centres in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad; a VFS service charge applies on top of the Schengen visa fee. Book your appointment early - Delhi and Mumbai slots fill fast in peak months. If the Embassy asks for a missing document, it must reach them within 3 days of lodging, and they may still request further documents or call you in for an interview.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
No. The decision rests solely with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic. What we do is assess your profile honestly and build the application so it is complete and well-documented, leaving nothing for the officer to question. Over the last 2-3 years our applications have run a 97% success rate - but no consultant can promise an outcome, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
How long does a Slovak Schengen business visa take?
About 15 days from the day your file reaches the Embassy in New Delhi, and up to 45 when they run additional checks. The days your file spends in transit between the VFS centre and the Embassy sit outside that clock, so build in a cushion and apply well ahead of your travel dates.
Do I apply to Slovakia if my trip covers several Schengen countries?
Only when Slovakia is your main destination - the country where you spend the most time. If the trip has no single main destination, apply to whichever country you first enter the Schengen area through.
How long can I stay, and where can I travel?
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and you can move freely across the entire Schengen area. If business keeps you longer than 90 days, this visa no longer fits - you would need the national (Type D) long-stay visa instead.
