Czech Republic business visa
You might be flying in for a round of meetings, a negotiation you need to be in the room for, a contract to conclude, an order to place, or a stand at a trade fair or exhibition. Whatever the reason, the document that gets you there is the short-stay Schengen visa β Type C, the uniform visa β valid for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The same sticker lets you move through the entire Schengen area, all 29 countries, as long as you stay inside that 90/180 limit. Apply through a Czech mission when the Czech Republic is your main destination, or your first point of entry into the Schengen zone when the trip covers several member states.
From India you file at a VFS Global centre; the decision itself is made by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, or, for applicants in Maharashtra, the Consulate General in Mumbai, which reopened in January 2026. Reckon on up to 15 calendar days for an answer, stretching to a maximum of 45 when the mission needs further checks β either way, the call is the Czech mission's alone. If you travel to the Czech Republic often and your visits serve Czech economic or foreign-policy interests, ask your Czech partner about the Reliable Partner Program, a facilitated route the partner company requests on your behalf.

Your exact checklist depends on your profile β we confirm it during your case analysis. Every visa decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
Applications are decided by the Embassy in New Delhi or, for Maharashtra applicants, the Consulate General in Mumbai, which reopened in January 2026 and is taking on more southern states in phases. Apply no earlier than six months and no later than 15 days before travel; three weeks ahead is the safer window. The Schengen visa fee is EUR 90 for adults and EUR 45 for children aged 6-11 (free under 6), plus a VFS service charge.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
Honestly, no one can. Under the Schengen Visa Code the decision sits entirely with the Czech consulate or embassy. What we do is assess your case candidly and build the most complete, convincing application possible. Over the last 2-3 years, our applications have carried a 97% success rate.
How long does a Czech Republic business visa take?
The Czech mission usually reaches a decision within up to 15 calendar days of a complete application submitted at VFS Global. When extra checks are needed it can run to a maximum of 45 calendar days, so apply at least three weeks before you travel.
Where in India do I apply?
You submit at a VFS Global centre β there are 16 across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Pune β and the decision comes from the Embassy in New Delhi, or the Consulate General in Mumbai if you are a Maharashtra applicant. Route your application through a Czech mission whenever the Czech Republic is your main destination or your first Schengen point of entry.
Can the business visa be multiple-entry?
Yes. Regular business travellers with a good travel history can be granted a multiple-entry Type C visa valid from 1 up to 5 years, though every stay must respect the 90-days-in-180 limit. Eligible companies can also take the facilitated route through the Reliable Partner Program.
