Czech Republic tourist visa
For an Indian passport holder, the Czech Republic sits behind the same document as the rest of the region: a short-stay Type C visa, the uniform Schengen visa, issued for tourism. Where you apply turns on nights. If the Czech Republic is where you will sleep the most, it is your main destination and you apply to the Czech mission. If nights are split equally across several countries, you apply at your first point of entry into the Schengen area. That single visa then opens the whole Schengen area (29 countries) to you, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
From India, the file goes through VFS Global, acting for the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, at visa application centres in cities across the country. The embassy, not VFS, decides, usually within about 15 calendar days of receiving your application, though a case that needs further review can run up to a maximum of 45 days. Timing matters at both ends: you cannot lodge more than 6 months before travel, and your application must reach the embassy at least 15 days before the planned journey.

Frequently asked questions
Do Indians need a visa for the Czech Republic?
Yes. You need a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) in hand before you travel; there is no visa-on-arrival or e-visa for tourism. Apply through the Czech mission when the Czech Republic is your main destination, or, if nights are split equally, at your first point of entry into the Schengen area.
How long does it take, and how long can I stay?
Reckon on about 15 calendar days from the day the embassy receives your application. A case that needs further review can stretch to a maximum of 45 days, and that call is the embassy's alone. Once granted, the visa lets you stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period and travel the whole Schengen area.
Which country do I apply to if I'm visiting several Schengen countries?
Apply to the Czech Republic when it is your main destination, meaning where you will spend the most nights. If your nights are split equally between countries, apply to the one you enter first. Pick the wrong consulate and the application can be refused.
Do you guarantee the visa?
No. The decision rests solely with the Czech embassy/consulate and immigration authorities, and no agent can guarantee an outcome. What we do is give you a frank, honest assessment of your profile and build the strongest, best-documented application possible. Over the last 2-3 years our applications have a 97% success rate.
