Poland business visa

The Poland business visa is a Schengen Type C (uniform) short-stay visa, meant for meetings, conferences, training and similar business events. It allows up to 90 days of stay in any 180-day window and opens the full Schengen area of 29 countries. You apply through a Polish mission when Poland is your only or main Schengen destination, or the country where you first enter Schengen.

In India, you lodge the application at a VFS Global visa application centre; the file is then decided by the Embassy of Poland in New Delhi or the Consulate General in Mumbai, depending on where you live. Fingerprints and a photo are taken in person. A decision usually comes within 15 calendar days, though it can stretch to 45 in some cases. The mission has the final say.

Frequently asked questions

Do you guarantee the visa?

No one can guarantee a visa. The decision rests entirely with the Polish embassy or consulate. What we do is give you a frank read on your profile and build the application as complete and strong as it can be. Over the last 2-3 years our applications have had a 97% success rate.

Should I apply to Poland or another Schengen country?

Apply through Poland only if it is your sole Schengen destination, the country where you will spend the most days, or your first point of entry into Schengen. If another country is your main destination, that country's mission is the one to apply to.

How far ahead should I apply?

You can lodge a Schengen application up to 6 months before travel, and no later than 15 calendar days before departure. A decision usually takes 15 calendar days but can run to 45, so leave yourself a comfortable margin.

Is travel medical insurance mandatory?

Yes. Cover of at least EUR 30,000 is a uniform Schengen requirement. It must hold good across the Schengen area for your entire stay, cover emergency treatment, hospitalisation and repatriation, and come from an insurer the Polish mission accepts.
