Luxembourg business visa
Luxembourg belongs to the Schengen Area, and that single fact sets the route for Indian business travellers: you need a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) in hand before you fly. It covers the reasons you'd actually go β meetings, negotiations and contract discussions, supplier or client visits, site scouting, or a conference. You get up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and the visa carries across the whole Schengen Area within that limit. What it does not do is let you take up paid employment in Luxembourg.
For applicants living in India, the file goes to the Embassy of Luxembourg in New Delhi, handled through VFS Global β which runs Luxembourg Visa Application Centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. Route it through Luxembourg's mission when Luxembourg is the sole or main destination of your trip, or β when no main destination stands out β when it is the first Schengen country you will enter. Biometrics, meaning fingerprints and a digital photo, are given in person. A decision usually follows within 15 calendar days of submission and may be extended up to 45 days in individual cases; the call rests with the Embassy or consulate.

Your exact checklist depends on your profile β we confirm it during your case analysis. Every visa decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
Applications are lodged in person at a Luxembourg Visa Application Centre run by VFS Global in India, where biometrics are captured; fingerprints given can be reused for up to five years (59 months). The Schengen visa fee is EUR 90 for adults (EUR 45 for children aged 6β12), payable on top of the VFS service charge. Lodge your application at least 15 calendar days before travel and no earlier than 6 months before the trip. Since Luxembourg shares the uniform Schengen process, apply through its New Delhi mission only when Luxembourg is your sole/main destination or your first point of entry.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
No. That decision belongs entirely to the Embassy of Luxembourg, or the consulate deciding your file. What we can do is assess your case honestly β no false comfort β and build the strongest application possible. Across the last 2-3 years our applications carry a 97% success rate, but no consultant can promise an outcome.
Should I apply through Luxembourg or another Schengen country?
Apply through the Embassy of Luxembourg in New Delhi, via VFS Global, when Luxembourg is your only stop β or your main one, judged by how long you stay and why. Can't single out a main destination? Then apply to whichever Schengen country's external border you'll cross first. And if a different Schengen country is plainly where you're headed, that country's mission is the one to approach.
How long does a Luxembourg business visa take?
A decision usually lands within 15 calendar days of submission. Where a case needs closer scrutiny or extra documents, that can stretch to 45 days. Lodge at least 15 days before you travel β and no earlier than 6 months ahead β since the final call sits with the Embassy or consulate.
Can I travel to other Schengen countries on this visa?
Yes. A Type C visa issued by Luxembourg is a uniform Schengen visa, so you can move across the whole Schengen Area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period β as long as Luxembourg stays your main destination or first point of entry for the trip.
