Indonesia business visa
There is no consulate queue and no sticker to wait for when you travel to Indonesia on business from India. Everything runs through a single government site โ evisa.imigrasi.go.id, operated by the Directorate General of Immigration. What you apply for depends on how long you are staying and why: a short round of meetings calls for the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), while a longer engagement means the C2 single-entry business visit visa, arranged before you fly.
The e-VOA (visa index B1) covers business talks, meetings and purchasing goods for up to 30 days, and can be extended once for a further 30. Need longer? The C2 business visit visa gives you a 60-day stay per entry, extendable to 180 days in total. And if Indonesia becomes a fixture on your calendar, the D2 multiple-entry business visit visa runs for 1, 2 or 5 years, with 60 days allowed on each visit. One line holds for all three: none of them let you take paid work in Indonesia.
Who this visa is for
- โIndian passport holders travelling for business meetings, negotiations, contract discussions or trade fairs
- โExecutives and business owners inspecting a factory, office or supplier site in Indonesia
- โProfessionals attending conferences, conventions or exhibitions as an attendee (not as a paid speaker)
- โTravellers purchasing goods or exploring collaborations and partnerships
- โFrequent business travellers who need multiple entries over 1, 2 or 5 years (D2 route)

Your exact checklist depends on your profile โ we confirm it during your case analysis. Every visa decision rests with the embassy or consulate.
Both the business e-visas and the e-VOA come from one official portal, evisa.imigrasi.go.id. For short meetings the e-VOA is usually enough; for stays beyond 30 days, or where a formal Indonesian invitation and a longer engagement are involved, the C2 business visit visa is the right route. A guarantor or sponsor is generally not needed for the C2. None of these visas permit paid employment in Indonesia.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
No one honest will. The decision belongs entirely to Indonesian Immigration (Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi), and no agent sits on that side of the desk. What we can do is read your case candidly and hand it in as complete and convincing as it can be. Over the last 2-3 years, 97% of our applications have succeeded.
Do I need the e-VOA or the C2 business visit visa?
For a short round of talks or meetings โ anything up to 30 days โ the e-VOA usually does the job, and India is on the eligible list. Staying longer than 30 days, or arriving on a formal Indonesian invitation for extended negotiations or site inspections? Then the C2 single-entry business visit visa (60 days, extendable to 180) is the right fit. Tell us the shape of your trip and we'll point you to the correct one.
Can I extend my business stay once I am in Indonesia?
Yes. The e-VOA stretches once, by a further 30 days. The C2 can be extended inside Indonesia up to a total stay of 180 days. One thing to plan for: since mid-2025, every extension needs at least one in-person visit to the local Immigration Office for biometrics โ fingerprint and photo.
Can I work or take up paid employment on a business visa?
No. The e-VOA, C2 and D2 are strictly for business โ meetings, negotiations, inspections and purchasing goods. Drawing a salary or taking paid employment in Indonesia falls outside all three.
