Hungary business visa
Heading to Hungary to close a deal, work a trade-fair stand or run a few days of business training? The visa you need is the Schengen short-stay (Type C, uniform visa). It is meant for Indian passport holders travelling for meetings, negotiations, conferences, trade fairs or short business training, and it allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. During that window you can move freely across the whole Schengen area. What it does not permit is paid employment.
Which mission you apply to depends on your itinerary. Use Hungary's mission when Hungary is your main destination β or, when no single country dominates the trip, when it is your first point of entry into the Schengen area. In India, every application is lodged through VFS Global, and jurisdiction is split: the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi handles most of northern, central and eastern India, while the Consulate General of Hungary in Mumbai handles the western and southern states.

Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the visa?
No one can guarantee a Schengen visa β the decision rests solely with the Consulate of Hungary. What we can promise is an honest read of your case and the strongest application it will support. Over the last two to three years, our applications have carried a success rate of about 97%.
How long does a Hungary business visa take to process?
The consulate usually decides within around 15 days of your biometric appointment. Extra checks or peak-season volumes can stretch that to 45 days, so give yourself plenty of runway before your travel dates.
Can I travel to other Schengen countries on a Hungary business visa?
Yes. A Type C Schengen visa lets you move across all Schengen countries for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The catch is where you apply: it must be through Hungary when Hungary is your main destination, or your first point of entry when no single destination stands out.
Where do I submit my Hungary visa application in India?
At a VFS Global centre. Jurisdiction is split β the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi covers most of northern, central and eastern India, and the Consulate General of Hungary in Mumbai covers the western and southern states. Book at the VFS centre that serves where you live.
