Multiple-entry Schengen visa (Type C)
Issued to travellers with a sound travel history for repeated trips, with validity of up to 1, 3 or 5 years; each stay is still limited to 90 days in any 180-day period.
Documents typically required
- ✓Completed Schengen visa application form, dated and signed, with one recent photograph (35x45 mm, white background, not older than 6 months) affixed
- ✓Passport with at least two blank pages, issued within the last 10 years and valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure from the Schengen area, plus any old passports
- ✓Photocopy of the passport biographic pages and of all pages carrying stamps or visas; if you had a visa refusal in the last two years, the refusal notice or a written explanation
- ✓Cover letter setting out the purpose and plan of your visit
- ✓Flight tickets and any internal travel reservations (it is advised not to buy tickets until the visa is granted)
- ✓Confirmed hotel accommodation for the whole stay, or, if visiting family or friends, an invitation letter (carta de invitacion) issued by the Spanish national police
- ✓Travel medical insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 for repatriation, urgent medical care and emergency hospital treatment, valid across the Schengen area for the entire stay
- ✓Original bank statements of the applicant (and sponsor, if any), stamped and signed, for the last six months, with a sponsor letter and proof of relationship where relevant
- ✓Income-tax returns (ITR-V or Form 16) for the last two years and a copy of your PAN card
- ✓Salary slips for the last three months, where available
